Playing games on Utomik is fast and easy. Gone are long downloading times, installations, updates and patching. Just find a game you like and press Play.
Playing a game for the first time
The first time you play a game on Utomik, it will download a small part and stores it on your hard drive. Once it's done the game launches. Games downloaded to your hard disk stay there (unless you delete it) which means you will not have to download it again the next time you play.
Entire game size vs. what you need to play
Because you only need a small part to start, this means you can play the game really quickly. When you play the game, more data downloads in the background. Rarely will you have the entire game on disk, simply because you will not need all content.
This image shows you Borderlands loading for the first time. The game is 6 Gigabytes in total, but only 375 mb is downloaded to start. This size depends on your internet speed and some other factors. In some cases the Utomik system will re-calculate to make sure there's enough data on your computer to provide a smooth gameplay experience.
Navigating away during downloading
Utomik will keep downloading the starting data even if navigate away from the loading screen. A small container in the bottom corner of the client shows the progress and will prompt you when the game is ready to play. If you close the dialogue, the game will stop loading altogether. If you start loading another game the client will ask you to stop downloading the other.
