Due to the increasing complexity of viruses online, anti-virus software can sometimes pick up a 'false positive' to be cautious. This does not mean there is a threat, but simply that the anti-virus has mistakenly identified our program as something else.
If this occurs, please take the following action:
- Email the support team at support@utomik.com with the name of your anti-virus program and the name of the file that was flagged.
When we receive a message like this, we will report the 'false positive' to the developer of your anti-virus software so that we can prevent this from happening again for you and other users in the future!
If you would like to continue immediately, the majority of anti-virus programs will allow you to create an 'exception' or even allow you to report a 'false positive' directly. This can often be done in the pop-up box that appears, or through the control panel for your anti-virus program.
If you would like further assistance based upon your specific anti-virus and what to do, please get in touch with us at support@utomik.com.
